- Our Client a New York based Renewable Energy Developer are currently looking for a Project Development Engineer to work on proposals for new business projects, as well as project delivery inputs for existing schemes across Battery Energy Storage, Solar PV and onsite energy generation.
You will be experienced with engaging with project partners such as service providers, landowners, network operators and commercial off-takers. Operating within a lean organisation, you will benefit from a broad scope of work from development to project engineering, commercial and financial input across the full project lifecycle of inception, structuring, delivery and operational upgrades.
Project Development Engineer key tasks:
- Oversee creation of new proposals (Business Development):
- Energy models
- Feasibility studies
- Procurement support
- troubleshoot technical issues on existing sites (Operations)
- Optimisation projects
- Investigate issues in technical operation of the assets
- Update drawings (technical and non-technical – e.g. property)
- Site visits & Management of third-party contractors
- Manage multiple diverse projects
- Idea generation for future business initiatives
Project Development Engineer required skill-set:
- Engineering degree, Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Civil/Renewable
- Experience within North American energy Industry
- Proven ability in completing technical feasibility studies
- AutoCAD
- High Level of initiative required in relation to both problem solving and idea generation
- Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders
