Description
Our client, a Berlin based decentralized gaming studio are currently looking for a Technical Artist to join their team of remote Engineers.
 
As Technical Artist, you work in an agile team to bring our technical and visual designs to life in the 3D engine, collaborating closely with both the Art Directors and Technical Director.
 
Together with the game artists, you establish requirements and implement in-editor and out-of-editor tools to help everyone’s workflow improve and flow smoothly.
 
This can be a fully remote position, or partially remote from Berlin, Germany. We are looking for an experienced Technical Artist designer like you to help build our tightly knit team of game creators, and to:
 
●             work in an agile, empowered game creation team to deliver quality features and experiences to our players
 
●             share your knowledge across teams, collaborating on a modular and scalable game
 
●             find new ways to build things better, prettier, or faster
 
●             design, write, and optimize scripts, tools, and shaders independently and collaboratively with artists and engineers
 
●             partake in our lean DevOps culture, assembling and improving our Unity toolchain
 
 
About you
 
You are a self-starter and able to work remotely and independently in close collaboration with your peers.
 
Stuff to bring:
 
●             deep knowledge of Unity3D’s rendering and asset management
 
●             knowledge of 3D modelling tools, e.g., Blender or Maya, and writing scripts for these
 
●             experience Focus on Unity SRPs (in particular, Universal Render Pipeline)
 
●             2 or more multiplayer online strategy games shipped (using Unity3D)
 
●             skilled in ShaderLab or ShaderGraph, optimizing for Mobile and WebGL Renderers
 
●             big plus: you are familiar with VFX graph and the Addressables System
 
●             experience working in an agile, remote workplace setting
 
●             6+ years of commercial experience with Unity
 
●             C1 English proficiency
